Your Role...

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives:


Through exemplary teamwork and meticulous attention to detail, the custom framing production specialist will lead our team in upholding Blick's commitment to customer satisfaction. They will be responsible for setting the standard for quality within Blick Custom Services.

 

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Consistently demonstrate superior customer satisfaction by combining product and other skills training to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance to all loss prevention measures and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Process framing orders in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
  • Process framing paperwork in an accurate, organized, and timely manner.
  • Partner with the Production Manager, Production Supervisor, and National Design Services Team to address issues and resolve problems.
  • Operates and maintains wood cutting, joining and framing equipment.
  • Operates as needed all other equipment including but not limited to the production of stretched canvas, custom printing and packaging.
  • Assists in the production and packaging of all custom orders as necessary.
  • Discharges all assigned responsibilities in a safe, and responsible manner.
  • All other assigned duties as directed by members of the Management Team.

 

General Requirements:

  • Positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Availability to work additional hours, weekends and holidays as required by the needs of the business.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules.
  • Prolonged walking and standing.

Technical Requirements:

  • 5 years custom framing experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to handle complex framing orders including the ability to come up with unique solutions.
  • Experience chopping, joining, packaging frames of high quality.
  • Experience cutting acrylic, fitting frames.
  • Ability to identify and correct quality issues before and after production.
  • Ability to evaluate production and recommend process improvements.
  • Working knowledge of framing materials, conservation principles and techniques, and systems for the safe care, handling, and framing of artwork.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
